Directions. To find Crossmead from the M5: From 'up country' do not take the first Exeter exit. Go on to Junction 31, the A30 for Okehampton. Take the first exit from this, marked Exeter and Crediton. Follow sign into Exeter. At the very first set of lights, (Sainsburys ahead on right) take the first turn left immediately, then filter left through the next set of lights, into Cowick Lane. Keep going along Cowick Lane until a set of lights with a pub called the 'First and Last' on your right. Turn left here into Dunsford Road. Keep going up the hill. At the top there is a Spar shop on the left. Turn right here into Barley Lane. Crossmead is clearly marked on the left.
From Plymouth, don’t take the first exit marked for Exeter, go past this for the A 30 Okehampton one, which is next, and follow as above.
From Cornwall, come via A30 or A 38.
These routes completely avoid the city centre, so are worth taking!
By public transport, Exeter St David's station is about 2/3 miles. There is no convenient bus route without going into the city centre, so the best bet is a taxi which takes about 10 minutes.
